LOGISTICS MANAGER

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Industrial Director, the Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the reception, storage, preparation and distribution of semi-finished or finished products. He or she organizes and improves the flow of components and finished products, within the company and to customers, to guarantee the quality and delivery times of the reels.

This position reports to the Industrial Director or the General Director. Autonomous in the execution of his or her work, he or she is responsible for ensuring the flow of materials internally and the delivery of reels to customers.

The activity requires frequent travel between the office, stores and shipping docks. His hours are generally regular.

Required Skills

• Understand the industrial process

• Know the production management techniques used in the company

• Develop and follow a shipping schedule, a scheduling file by anticipating needs

• Manage, optimize stocks

• Design and optimize a distribution network

• Master the transport environment: language, codes, methods, procedures, standards and regulations in force

• Permanently update technological and logistical knowledge

• Implement the quality and safety procedures required in the areas of handling, storage, packaging and delivery

• Use of optical barcode reading devices (gun, flasher, etc.)

• Compliance with safety instructions, particularly the principles of load balancing

• Respect for the organization of a storage site (traffic plan, etc.)

• Organize, get organized by managing priorities

• Manage and lead a team with diplomacy and firmness

• Create a relationship of trust with various contacts, internally but also externally with suppliers or customers

• Negotiate by telephone

• Develop and monitor dashboards

• Analyze and resolve various problems, often urgently

• Have a global vision, analyze a lot of data, synthesize it and communicate relevant information

• Know how to manage priorities based on unforeseen events, delays and adapt the organization of work according to their impacts

• Sense of organization

• Work as a team on complex subjects

• Master IT tools (transport software, Optivision, office automation, etc.)

 

Baccalaureate level training is recommended, in the logistics sector (DUT Transport, etc.) or paper production.

One or more Certificate(s) of Fitness for Safe Driving – CACES 3 and 4 – conditioned by medical fitness to be renewed periodically is (are) required.

Beyond training or experience in another structure, it takes at least six months in the company to fully understand its production process, its organization and its IT tools.

ASSISTANT LOGISTICS MANAGER

Job Description

Under the supervision of the Logistics Manager, the Assistant Logistics Manager loads the trucks and puts away the coil stock. He or she keeps the floor clean and carries out his mission in compliance with safety instructions while applying environmental rules. Alongside the Logistics Manager, he or she organizes and improves the flow of components and finished products, within the company and to customers, to guarantee the quality and delivery times of the reels.

This position reports to the Logistics Manager.

Autonomous in carrying out his work and link between waste paper stock and production. His trips are very frequent internally. Hours are generally regular.

Required Skills

• Respect the order of receptions

• Store the reel stock according to the instructions

• Adapt handling conditions to different products

• Adapt to load based on business priorities and order status (in the absence of the Manager)

• Know how to use optical barcode reading devices (gun, flasher, etc.)

• Ensure in all its activities the integrity of products and the conformity of processes guaranteeing Quality and Safety

• Respect the order of shipments

• Know how to read a loading plan

• Develop and follow a shipping schedule, a scheduling file by anticipating needs

• Compliance with safety instructions, particularly the principles of load balancing

• Respect for the organization of a storage site (traffic plan, etc.)

• Create a relationship of trust with various contacts, internally but also externally with suppliers or customers

• Have good logical sense, be rigorous, organized and follow procedures: be able to meet management objectives; be able to anticipate, manage several files simultaneously, manage time and priorities; plan and meet deadlines

• Analyze and resolve various problems, often urgently

• Dynamic, available, curious, reactive, sense of initiative, adaptation to situations and interlocutors

• Work in a team, have a sense of service, be able to replace a work colleague on a file


3 months experience in the position

One or more Certificate(s) of Fitness for Safe Driving - CACES - conditioned by medical fitness to be renewed periodically are requested.
